Notice to the Citizens of the Fairview (Ten-Ten) Fire District
Monday, July 9th, 2018

For over 55 years, the Fairview Fire Department has been there to help our community in their time of need. Today, Fairview needs your help.

The Fairview Fire Department has learned that the Director of Wake County Fire Services, Nick Campasano, plans to use fire tax dollars collected in the Fairview (Ten-Ten) Fire District to help the Garner Fire Department build a new fire station on Hwy 401, close Fairview Station 2 and contract with Garner to provide fire protection to the citizens of the Ten-Ten Fire District now served by Station 2. We do not believe it is in the best interests of our citizens to close this station. In addition to other factors, Fairview Fire Department maintains an ISO Insurance Rating of 3, which is better than Garner Fire Department’s rating.

There will be a Fire Commission Meeting on Thursday, July 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the Lecture Hall at the Wake County Emergency Services Education Center located at 221 S. Rogers Lane, Suite 160, Raleigh, NC 27610. You can find more information here: http://www.wakegov.com/fire/commission/pages/meeting-schedule.aspx

Members of the Fairview Fire Department will attend this meeting and leaders in our organization will address the Fire Commission. Citizens may speak during the public comment section of the meeting. We invite concerned citizens to join us and participate.
